Seventeen players on the Winnipeg Goldeyes have had their options exercised, committing their rights to the baseball club for the 2011 season. All players, however, still need to be signed to an American Association contract.

The rights of pitchers Zach Baldwin, Antony Bello, Chad Benefield, Stephen Flake, Brandon Forshee, Drew Graham, Kevin Light, Jason Mackintosh, Chris Salamida, Ian Thomas and Ace Walker were retained.

Position players Luis Alen, Dee Brown, Juan Diaz, Aharon Eggleston, Justin Justice and Price Kendall also had their rights retained.

The Goldeyes also retained the reversionary rights to pitcher Mark Holliman (Boston) and infielder Wes Long (Florida) in the event they are released by their Major League team.

Pitchers Emary Frederick, Chris Kelly and Bobby Korecky, and position players Brett Dowdy, Donzell McDonald, Brett Wallace (played out his option) and Kevin West did not have their options exercised and are now considered free agents.
