Students from the Asper School of Business will be stripping down to their swimming attire on Wednesday for the fourth annual “Chillin’ for Charity” event.

The fundraiser supports the United Way and sees a group of students jump into an outdoor pool of ice cold water. The goal this year is to raise $20,000 in donations.

The jump is scheduled for 12 p.m. on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus at St. John’s College.

A total of 55 students and faculty will take part this year. However, Mother Nature is on their side somewhat, as Wednesday’s high is expected to be 8°C.

The public is invited to come out and cheer on the team. Donations can be made at UnitedWayWinnipeg.donordrive.com.

Last year’s jump (watch video) raised $16,000.
