CBC Radio-Canada is searching for a new host to handle the duties of “The 204,” a program on CBC Radio One that showcases Manitoba’s music, arts and culture scene.
The one-year contract position calls for the host to be responsible for the development and execution of the program, as well as line up guests and interviewees.
The qualifications for the radio gig include three years of broadcast or comparable and relevant hosting/performing experience, strong on-air performance skills and personality, and strong interviewing skills.
The show’s current host is CBC Winnipeg reporter Wab Kinew, who said on Tuesday he would be moving full-time to news reporting when a replacement host is found. Kinew will stay on until January 1, 2011.
The deadline to apply is November 22, 2010.
“The 204” airs Saturdays at 5 p.m.
