RCMP Investigating Attempted Murder-Suicide Near Roblin

RCMP are investigating an apparent murder-suicide attempt near Roblin, Manitoba.

According to CJSB Radio in nearby Swan River, a teenage girl was shot and killed on Wednesday morning.

The 16-year-old teen was allegedly shot in a rural home east of Roblin by a 17-year-old male.

Reports say the teen then turned the gun on himself and suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

He was rushed to hospital in Roblin, before being transferred to Dauphin and then flown to Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre.

An RCMP spokesperson wasn’t immediately available to provide comment on the incident late Wednesday afternoon.
