Manitoba Bisons football player Pete Adams has earned the title of 2010 Canada West Football All-Star for the second consecutive year.
The announcement was made Wednesday, awarding the halfback with the honour in his fourth year of eligibility with the Bisons.
“Pete had a consistent season during a tough Bison season,” head coach Brian Dobie said in a statement. “He was one of our leading tacklers and played hard all season long.”
The award is a little bit of a silver lining for the Bisons, who finished 2-6 this year with no post-season action.
Adams, 24, had 37.5 total tackles this season, good for 13th in Canada West, improving by ten from last season. He also led the team and conference with eight break-ups while adding two forced fumbles (tied for first in Canada West) and one blocked kick.
The Bisons have rounded up 60 conference football all-star selections over the last 11 Canada West seasons.
