Two Winnipeg monuments will be lit up in blue light tonight in recognition of World Diabetes Day.
The Forks Market Tower and the Manitoba Legislative Building will be illuminated in blue as part of the World Diabetes Day Blue Monument Challenge. The initiative helps raise awareness about the severity and impact of diabetes on a global scale.
Cities across Canada will all participate to help illuminate over 30 different monuments, including the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver and the CN Tower in Toronto.
