Now that there’s a little bit of snow on the ground, holiday shoppers will be more inclined to hit the malls to begin Christmas shopping.
Saturday will be a perfect day to do it. Actually, make that Saturday night.
St. Vital Centre is hosting what they’re calling the ‘hottest shopping event of the year’ on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
“Behind Closed Doors” is an after-hours all-you-can-shop evening with food sampling, live music, door prizes and stellar sales.
The best part? It’s all in the name of charity. Tickets to the exclusive event are $5 each, with all proceeds going to local charities.
The Children’s Wish Foundation Cops for Kids, Firefighters Burn Fund, FortWhyte Alive, Keeping Abreast, The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation, Variety the Children’s Charity and the Winnipeg Humane Society will all benefit.
Your ticket will also get you entered to win a Jacuzzi hot tub and other prizes from St. Vital Centre retailers. You can purchase a ticket at any of the above charities. Tickets will not be sold at the door on the night of the event.
