Santa Claus Snapping Pet Photos This Weekend

November 25, 2010 6:58 AM | Entertainment

Santa Claus is one heck of a busy guy this time of year, but he’s dropping everything to make time for the city’s pet population.

The jolly man in red will be at the city’s Animal Services Agency on Saturday to take pet photos.

Owners who show up are reminded to keep their animals comfortably restrained. After all, you don’t want to risk getting coal this year.

The cost of photos are $10 for prints and $12 for both prints and e-mailed photos. Proceeds go to the Animal Services Agency’s Dog Education and Adoption Program.

Also attending Saturday will be two loveable pets looking for a warm home this Christmas. Skye and Figaro are two pooches who would love to be adopted.

Santa will be available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1057 Logan Avenue.

Then on Sunday, “Santa Paws” will be at the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, for pet photos between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Although appointments are now sold out, you can still be added to a waiting list. For more information, visit WinnipegHumaneSociety.ca.
