For the past month, men everywhere have been walking around with creepy-looking mustaches all in support of charity.

The annual Movember initiative to grow a mustache and collect donations for men’s health issues, particular prostate cancer, has driven up thousands of dollars locally for the cause.

One of the top earners, at least to our knowledge, is the Shauntourage team, who has raised over $24,000 in donations.

As Movember is set to wrap, many parties are being hosted this weekend in Winnipeg to round up last minute donations and put teams over the top. Some of the parties planned tonight are at Tavern United downtown beginning at 5:30 p.m., and another at the Pyramid Cabaret at 8 p.m. Movember.com has the complete list of other venues, including a handful taking place on Saturday, such as the ‘Mosocial’ at 4Play Sports Bar at 8 p.m.
