The city is hosting its first ever Career Symposium on Tuesday at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
The idea is to attract people to the many jobs offered within the City of Winnipeg, such as bridge and road designers, transit bus operators, firefighters, etc.
Employees from a number of city departments will be on hand to answer questions and provide more information about their line of work.
A “Speaker’s Corner” will feature city staff who will talk about their own unique and interesting career paths.
The symposium is free of charge and runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
