RCMP will be out on Manitoba roads in full force this weekend targeting impaired drivers and seatbelt use.
The Mounties will kick off their annual Holiday Check Stop Program on Friday, December 3 and continue with ramped up enforcement until midnight on Sunday, January 2.
RCMP have reported 58 fatal collisions throughout the province so far this year, which have claimed 65 lives. Thirty-four percent of the fatalities have been blamed on alcohol and impaired driving.
All detachments will participate in the Road Safety Vision 2010 initiative.
