More than 225 indoor performing companies will be vying for the 100 available spots tonight at the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
Fringe Festival staff will draw from a pool made up of 54 Manitoba companies, 20 international, six kids venues and 30 others from across Canada. The draw also includes performers from South Korea, Switzerland, Great Britain, the United States, Kuwait, South Africa and Australia.
The theme for next year’s Fringe Festival — set for July 13 to 24, 2011 — will be announced after the lottery selection is complete.
The public can attend the lottery drawing at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the King’s Head Pub and Eatery, 120 King Street.
