Goldeyes Set 2011 Schedule with American Association

Under the leadership of a brand new affiliation with the American Association, the Winnipeg Goldeyes unveiled their 2011 season schedule on Wednesday.

The 100-game schedule (PDF, 303 KB)  includes an opening day kick off May 12 against rivals the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

“It’s an exciting time for the organization”, Goldeyes GM Andrew Collier said in a release.

All eight teams in the AA’s North and Central Divisions will visit Winnipeg at some point during the season. Among the eight teams, the Wichita Wingnuts will come to Winnipeg for the first time ever August 12-14.

The Goldeyes close out the home portion of their season with a four-game series against the RedHawks August 23-26.

Training camp begins Saturday, April 30 and the club’s Open House is set for Saturday, May 7.
