Teddy Bear Toss Returns at Moose Game on December 17

December 2, 2010 6:48 AM | Sports

The Manitoba Moose are bringing back the annual Teddy Bear Toss when the Moose welcome the Houston Aeros to MTS Centre in a few weeks.

Stuffed toys thrown on the ice during the second intermission on Friday, December 17 will be donated to the Christmas Cheer Board, helping to give kids a gift this holiday season.

Fans bringing a toy can register the item at one of the Teddy Bear Toss tables on the concourse. Each teddy bear will be bagged, sealed and individually numbered for a prize draw for all participants later in the game.

Those who don’t bring their own bears can still throw one on the ice by purchasing a teddy for $5 on game night.

The Moose set a franchise record last year, collecting 2,073 stuffed toys and raising $2,420 for the Christmas Cheer Board.

Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
