The elderly woman who was found deceased after being picked up in a recycling bin is at the centre of an RCMP investigation to identify her.
After an autopsy was completed, police say there is no evidence to suggest foul play was involved in the death of the woman.
Employees at a BFI recycling plant in the RM of Rosser found the woman’s body Wednesday morning while sorting through material.
RCMP say the woman was known to frequent the area of Pembina Highway in Fort Garry for at least the last two years.
She is described as Caucasian, about 50- to 60-years-old, 5’4″ tall, 136 lbs, long salt and pepper hair kept in a bun, and light brown eyes. She was wearing multiple layers of clothing, frequently seen to be wearing a toque or hat.
Anyone who may be able to identify the woman is asked to call RCMP at (204) 984-6447.
