First it was two weekends of Santa Paws photos, and now the Winnipeg Humane Society is attracting people back for another reason.
The Winnipeg animal shelter is holding its Paws for the Season open house on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The annual gathering is a pre-Christmas party with animal owners and their pets, which includes a craft and bake sale, tree lighting, children’s activities and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
Those who’ve lost an animal, or anyone special in their lives, can also add an ornament to the tree in honour of that pet or person.
