To beat the winter blahs, the City of Winnipeg has recently released its Winter 2011 Leisure Guide — full of activities to keep you busy until warmer weather comes around.

Copies of the guide are available for pickup at civic arenas, pools, libraries and leisure centres, and as of yesterday, were made available at a number of retail locations and in the Free Press. The Leisure Guide can also be read online at Winnipeg.ca.

Registration for programs begins in a little over a week from now on Monday, December 13 at 9 a.m.

To help make the process as easy as possible, the city suggests creating a PIN and login ID number for online registration prior to the 13th. This can be done by calling 311 or by visiting any civic pool or the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre, located at 625 Osborne Street.

Registration can also be dropped off at 395 Main Street or any civic pool. The Fort Rouge Leisure Centre will also be accepting in-person registration on Monday, December 13 only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The St. James Civic Centre, 2055 Ness Avenue, will also be accepting registrations.

Alternatively, you can mail in your registration to: Registration Office, 395 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 3N8
