Children from inner-city schools will be treated to a movie Wednesday afternoon at Globe Cinema.
The Motion Picture Theatre Association of Manitoba is putting on a Christmas party for underprivileged Winnipeg children to get them into the holiday spirit.
Many of the children attending have never had the opportunity to visit a movie theatre and enjoy a film.
Students will be seeing “Despicable Me,” an animation flick featuring Steve Carell, while enjoying popcorn and drinks. Santa will be coming by to say hello along with Sylvester and MAX the bear.
The party runs from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
