The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed non-import linebacker Pierre-Luc Labbé to the team on Wednesday, weeks before he was about to become a free agent in February.
Besides the 26-year-old Quebec native, the Bombers also signed non-import offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk and non-import receiver Josh Bishop. Both players spent time on the Blue Bombers’ practice roster last year and will join the team next season.
Kowalczuk played four seasons at the University of Toronto as a guard and tackle, starting 24 straight games from 2007-2009. Bishop attended Wilfrid Laurier, where he finished with 74 catches for 1,225 yards and seven touchdowns.
