A group of Winnipeg’s most innovative and affable chefs are gracing the pages of a new calendar in support of Winnipeg Harvest.

Hot in the Kitchen 2011 features a dozen of well-known city chefs and their featured dishes.

Local advertising agency Jackfish Media Group came up with the unique idea.

“We met so many great chefs this year that we wanted to tell everyone about this culinary treasure right on our doorsteps,” said Jackfish partner Shel Zolkewich.

Proceeds from every $2 calendar sold will go directly to the food bank to assist deserving families to put meals on the table.

The calendar is available for purchase at Bistro 7 1/4, Deseo Bistro, Segovia Tapas Bar & Restaurant, The Tallest Poppy, Peasant Cookery, Four Points Sheraton Winnipeg South, Mask Restaurant in Gimli and Horfrost Restaurant in Portage la Prairie.
