Winnipeggers are a generous bunch and don’t necessarily need an incentive to donate to those less fortunate.

But if you do need a little push to do a good deed, a new campaign by Virgin Mobile is making the idea of regifting socially acceptable.

The company’s RE*Gift for RE*Generation program accepts unwanted items to be regifted to those in need. The donor will end up receiving a $50 gift card to be used on Virgin accessories.

The following items are being requested to assist at-risk youth and homeless youth programs: hoodies and sweatshirts, jackets, DVDs and CDs, board games, shoes and boots, headphones and earbuds, hats, gloves and scarves.

Items can be dropped off at any Virgin Mobile store across Canada, including Winnipeg’s Polo Park location, from December 26 to 31.
