The Winnipeg Goldeyes began 2011 by announcing two more signings for the upcoming season on Tuesday.
Pitcher William Jackel has been added to the bullpen, while Wilmer Pino will help man the infield.
Jackel, 25, was 5-4 with a 3.25 ERA in 46 games with the Joliet JackHammers last season. The Georgia native began pro ball with the Florida Marlins’ Gulf Coast League in 2007. He spent 2008 with Texarkana of the Continental League.
Pino, 24, spent the last two seasons with the Edinburg Roadrunners in United League Baseball. The Venezuela native hit for a .325 average last summer, while adding seven home runs, 59 RBI and 50 stolen bases.
There are now six players signed for the 2011 American Association season, including two pitchers and four position players.
