Police Raid Marijuana Grow-Op in the Maples

RCMP seized 700 marijuana plants worth an estimated $700,000 from a home in the Maples on Friday. (RCMP HANDOUT)

RCMP seized $700,000 worth of marijuana Friday afternoon after executing a search warrant on Gardenia Bay.

Police say the home in question had been turned into a sophisticated marijuana grow operation.

A total of 700 plants were seized in various stages in growth.

Police have yet to make any arrests or lay charges.

The investigation is continuing.
