The building that once housed Regal Furniture was demolished on Saturday, making way for the expansion of a Calgary-based brewing company.

Minhas Creek owns the building, or pile of rubble as of yesterday, and plans to expand its beer-making operations to the location at 925 Logan Avenue.

A worker on site says the building was being torn down due to structural concerns and other interior problems beyond repair.

The demolition continues today, and as a result, the nearby Arlington Bridge is closed until Monday at 6 a.m. as a safety precaution.
