Suspect in Custody Following Shooting in Seymourville

An 18-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting in Seymourville, Manitoba early Saturday morning.

Police say the man was shot during an altercation outside a residence involving several people and transferred to a Winnipeg hospital.

Kyle Richard McKenzie, 23, of Seymourville has been charged with attempted murder and firearms-related offences.

The suspect and victim both knew each other.

McKenzie will appear in Winnipeg court on Monday.

Seymourville is located about 100 kilometres north of Powerview.
