Winnipeg Harvest will unveil a second donated cube truck in recent weeks later this morning.
The food bank is at the receiving end of a campaign launched by UPS Stores in December 2009 in hopes of raising $60,000 dollars to purchase a cube truck for Winnipeg Harvest. Their plea to the community was answered.
Canadian Tire and CIBC also joined in on the “Moving About the Community Campaign” to help purchase a truck to move food across the city to families in need.
Winnipeg Harvest relies on its transportation to get food distributed to the over 320 agencies it works with.
