A Winnipeg Franco-punk quartet has been preparing for the official release of their new CD for a couple months, and by the weekend, it will finally be debuted.
Les Sexy recorded their independently-released album over the summer, and describes it as a “sonic aural punch to the face that harkens back to a time when music was raw, dirty, and authentic.”
The band has been pre-promoting the CD since Christmas, getting feedback from friends and family on the music.
“We decided to reward those who have supported us from day one by making the CD available prior to Christmas and to build up some excitement for the show at the Cavern, plus it made Christmas shopping a little easier for the boys in the band,” said vocalist Danyel Huberdeau. “The feedback we’ve been getting has been tremendous through word-of-mouth support, and we’re all looking forward to delivering a top notch performance at the CD release show.”
The band will headline a CD release show at The Cavern, 112 Osborne Street, on Friday night.
The Noble Thiefs, and The Jon Cohen Experimental from Montreal will also play.
