A 51-year-old man was killed Thursday evening when he was struck by a snowmobile.
Winnipeg police say the pedestrian was walking in a field near the 500 block of Redonda Street at about 6:30 p.m. when the accident happened.
The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The snowmobile driver was also taken to hospital, but in stable condition.
No charges have been laid at this time and police continue to investigate.
This is the second fatal accident in recent days involving a snowmobile. On Wednesday, a 47-year-old man was killed near St. Joseph when he crashed into construction material while riding his snowmobile.
