The Manitoba Bison men’s volleyball team starts their second half of the 2010-11 season coming off a win streak prior to the winter break.
The Bisons — sitting comfortably with an 11-1 record — host Alberta this weekend, which is an equally as competitive team with their own 9-1 standing.
Watch:
At home, the Herd is 5-0 this season, even with a few close games under their belt. The Bisons haven’t buckled under the pressure this season and continue to play well. Their only loss came on November 13 during a match against Thompson Rivers.
Right side Dane Pischke is tied for sixth in Canada West for his performance on the court, and is at the receiving end of the Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Scholarship, worth a minimum of $1,500.
The Bison men will meet the Golden Bears at Investors Group Athletic Centre on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. The women’s matchups are at 6 p.m. both nights.
