Citizens will get the opportunity to share their input on the 2011 Operating Budget.
An online survey, blog and roundtable discussions will allow Winnipeggers to voice their opinion on how the city plans on spending millions on infrastructure priorities and other projects.
The operating budget allocates funding for the full range of city services, such as police, fire paramedics, water treatment, garbage collection, road construction and maintenance, libraries, and community centres.
The first of two roundtables will happen Tuesday, January 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson Highway. The second will take place on Thursday, January 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Room 5 on the main floor of the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required, and walk-ins are welcome. Pre-registration can be made by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (204) 986-4242.
