Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz is in Regina today, speaking with other mayors at the first ever National Infrastructure Summit.

The three-day summit began on Wednesday and includes members from all levels of government and the private sector.

“Winnipeg is not unique in the infrastructure challenges that it faces,” Katz said in a statement. “By having an open dialogue with other levels of government and municipalities, we hope to take a united approach to address our common problems and establish a plan to move forward with a coordinated plan for all municipalities.”

The Summit creates an open dialogue between the government and private sector as a way of engaging in discussions and workshops from leaders and experts in various infrastructure fields.
