Environmental advocate and author Adria Vasil, best known for her advice book “Ecoholic,” will speak at the University of Winnipeg tonight.
Vasil will discuss “Being Green in 2011,” sharing her tips on how to green one’s lifestyle, the pitfalls of consumerism and greenwashing, and how people can work to effect change on a level beyond just their personal power.
Vasil’s speech will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Riddell Cafeteria. Admission to the public event is free.
Also at the U of W tonight, a lecture on “The Erosion of Public Services” given by Bill Moore-Kilgannon of Public Interest Alberta will be delivered from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Room 2M70. The public speech is presented by the Social Justice Coalition.
