A new food service company will be providing food for Fort Gibraltar beginning May 1.
Organizers of Festival du Voyageur announced Wednesday a new partnership with Gibraltar Dining Corporation, ending their 10-year partnership with Storm Catering.
A proposal for potential service providers was put forward in September 10, attracting several applicants. In the end, Shawn Brandson, owner of Niakwa Dining Corporation and food and beverage operator of the Niakwa Golf and Country Club as well as Provence Bistro, was awarded the contract.
“The selection committee was impressed by the original ideas and development strategies elaborated in Gibraltar Dining Corporation’s submission. Shawn and his team really understand the potential of Fort Gibraltar as an event site,” said Ginette Lavack Walters, Executive Director of Festival du Voyageur.
