February 4, 2011 10:29 AM | News

The street that will house the new Corus Radio Winnipeg studios at Polo Park has itself a new name.

Rapelje Avenue has been renamed to Jack Blick Avenue, in honour of CJOB 68 founder J.O. Blick. Blick was a Second World War Veteran and founded the station on March 11, 1946.

CJOB, Power 97 and 99.1 Groove FM will take position of their new digs on Monday, February 14. As we showed you in December, the signs for the new 17,000 square foot broadcast and office space are already up.

1440 Jack Blick Avenue is the former home of CTV Winnipeg and will soon announce additional tenants.

Mayor Sam Katz will unveil the name change on Monday at about 9:15 a.m.
