It’s actually the sport of being pulled on skis by dogs, a horse, or in some cases, a vehicle (we don’t recommend this). The word itself means “ski-driving” in Norwegian.
The Snow Motion Winter Dog Sports Club of Manitoba will be demonstrating skijoring and kick sledding Saturday at The Forks.
They’ll be showing off different breeds of dogs and the equipment needed.
The demo takes place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Port. More information is available at SnowMotion.ca.
