The second annual Bear Your Heart fundraiser is taking place tonight to help grant wishes to children with high-risk, life-threatening illnesses.
Lsat year, the Children’s Wish Foundation raised $10,000 during the event with the help of 140 generous Winnipeg donors.
The evening will raise money to grant Noah’s wish of going on a Disney Cruise to see his favourite characters. Noah suffers from a kidney disease that affects his day-to-day life. The eight-year-old loves to play hockey, read, swim and go on bike rides with his dad. Noah dreams of becoming a dentist when he grows up.
Bear Your Heart begins at 6 p.m. at Earls St. Vital and will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, bear-inspired foods, wines from around the globe and the world’s second largest mobile chocolate fountain. Local artists the Blackout City Kids and Flo will perform.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from the Children’s Wish Foundation office on the Concourse Level of the Delta Hotel, or by phone at (204) 945-9474.
