The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed another player for the 2011 season.

Barry Fowler was signed by the baseball club on Tuesday, adding the right-handed pitcher to a list of 10 others.

The 35-year-old made his professional debut last season with the El Paso Diablos, where he was 0-2 with a 5.97 ERA in 22 appearances working out of the bullpen. He also had one save. Aside from two outings with the Diablos, his ERA was 2.67.

Manager Rick Forney says despite Fowler’s age, he’s in phenomenal shape.

“If he comes to camp in the shape I saw him in, I expect him to be a valuable rookie in our league,” Forney said.
