Man Killed in Rollover Near Boissevain

February 8, 2011 3:27 PM | News

A single-vehicle rollover has killed a 59-year-old man near Boissevain.

RCMP say the crash happened Monday at about 4 p.m. in the RM of Turtle Mountain when a 1998 GMC pickup truck lost control on a gravel road and rolled into the ditch.

The driver was from the area and pronounced dead at the scene. Two members of the man’s family, a six-year-old boy and nine-year-old boy, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash, and investigators say seat belts appeared to be in use at the time.

The man’s name isn’t being released.
