If your vehicle has been taking a beating at the hands of those nasty potholes that have taken over Winnipeg streets, the city is on the case.
Pothole-patching crews are out and have increased their presence on main routes throughout the city.
Three pothole-patching machines have also been added to the hand patching crews.
“Recent mild temperatures and freeze / thaw cycles resulted in the appearance of potholes on main routes earlier than usual this season,” said Ken Boyd, Manager of the Streets Maintenance Division. “In order to make the repairs needed to improve driving conditions on main routes, the city is ramping up its pothole patching efforts this weekend and next week.”
Once main routes are patched, crews will shift their focus to repairing bus routes and collector streets as required.
The public can report pothole locations by calling 311 or at Winnipeg.ca.
