If you’re stumped for lunch on Friday, look no further than the corner of Portage and Main.
In anticipation for Festival du Voyageur, which officially kicks off tomorrow evening, Saison Voyageur will host a noon hour party in the heart of downtown.
Between noon and 1 p.m., you can satisfy your appetite by getting a serving of traditional pea soup in front of 201 Portage Avenue.
The afternoon will feature special greetings, entertainment, a visit by the Official Voyageur family plus tasty traditional treats with a $2 donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Saison Voyageur, along with sponsors Manitoba Lotteries and Creswin, are putting on the event.
“Festival Fridays” will carry over to February 25 as well, offering up more noon hour activities in downtown Winnipeg during the second week of Festival.
The Festival runs until Sunday, February 27.
