One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 5 Wednesday morning.

RCMP report the crash happened at around 10:20 a.m. approximately three kilometres east of Grandview, Manitoba.

According to police, a Chevrolet pickup truck heading eastbound collided with a westbound Peterbilt service truck. The driver of the pickup was taken to Grandview Hospital and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.

No further details have been released.

UPDATE: Thursday, February 24 — The deceased has been identified as Stanley Arnold Michaluk, 66, of Grandview. The driver of the service truck was a 33-year-old Dauphin man. Roads and weather conditions were good at the time.
