University of Manitoba Bison men’s volleyball player Chris Komishon has been named 2010-11 Canada West Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Year.
Komishon, 20, is the third Bison to be given the conference honour, playing the setter position in his first year with the Bisons. He was sixth in conference with 8.52 assists/per game and fifth in Canada West in total assists with 571.
The Winnipegger started and played in all 18 conference regular season games and added 28 kills with 106 digs, 40 overall blocks and 11 service aces.
The team has also received another honour, as Chris Voth was named an all-star.
Voth, 20, was tenth in Canada West, starting and playing in all 18 conference regular season games and added 111 digs, 38 overall blocks and 17 assists.
