It may seem a little chilly to begin thinking about spring, but if you look at the calendar, it’s not far off.
On Sunday, the Assiniboine Credit Union River Trail will host Slushfest, the second annual celebration of spring.
The event is meant to “shake off the winter blahs,” and will include teams of two competing in inner tubing, canoe racing, three legged racing, sled pulling and more.
No skills are required and teams can be made up of one parent and one child, two children or two adults. Skates or boots are allowed.
Prizes and medals will be awarded, and a special goody bag will be given to those in a costume.
No pre-registration is required for the event, which runs from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow at The Forks Historic Port.
