A new play at the Prairie Theatre Exchange will showcase the world premiere of Burnin’ Love from March 2 to March 20.

The Sharon Bajer play explores the life and death of Elvis Presley.

Synopsis: The King may have left the building, but he’s front and centre in Burnin’ Love. Tina is hunting down her ex to be at the bedside of their comatose daughter Mary, whom he has never met. She finally unloads her woes on an Elvis impersonator in a seedy bar. Meanwhile, Mary has made a friend on the other side — and he has great sideburns! Burnin’ Love tackles everything from fate to the pull of family — and the reason why Elvis will never really die.

Burnin’ Love runs March 3 to March 20. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at PTE.mb.ca or through the PTE Box Office at (204) 942-5483.
