U of M Putting on Free Jazz Concert Series

The U of M’s Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music will play host to renowned trumpeters this month.

Each artist will deliver a public lecture, as well as perform. The free concerts will all be open to the public.

The series will feature a concert with the U of M Jazz Faculty tonight from 8 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. at the Orbit Room, 4-2077 Pembina Highway.

Then on Friday, Mike Herriott will perform with the faculty at the Music Annex on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus from 2:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.

A public lecture will follow in the same location from 3:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.

Other performers scheduled are Duane Eubanks on March 7 and Derrick Gardner on March 21
