Tim Hortons Real Fruit Smoothies (CNW GROUP / TIM HORTONS)
In an effort to offer customers healthier menu options, Tim Hortons will soon begin serving Real Fruit Smoothies.
The chain says five percent of Canadians are consuming the seven to 10 daily servings of fruit and vegetables recommended by the Canada Food Guide.
A small 10-ounce smoothie contains one full serving of fruit and 130 calories. The smoothies will be available in mixed berry and strawberry banana, with the option to add yogurt for an additional 30 calories.
The smoothies will be available across Canada beginning Monday, March 7 for $1.99. Adding vanilla yogurt will cost 70 cents extra.
