Fort Richmond Students Throwing Community Festival

Winnipeg students, staff and politicians will strap on snowshoes today and participate in a fun outdoor festival in Fort Richmond.

Students from Fort Richmond Collegiate, Acadia Junior High School and Dalhousie School will throw the second annual Midwinter’s Night Dream between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. this afternoon.

The free community event will include entertainment, food and outdoor activities such as tobogganing, showshoeing and sleigh rides

MP Rob Bruinooge, MLAs Kerri Irvin Ross and Marilyn Brick, and city councillor Justin Swandel will be in attendance.

The carnival will take place in the adjoining fields behind all three schools.
