The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce handed out its Spirit of Winnipeg Awards on Friday night, honouring innovation in the city at a gala dinner.
Five local companies, charities and non-profits took home awards for embracing change by taking a concept or idea and choosing to do things differently.
“Innovation is about striving for better approaches and practices that contribute to the vibrancy of our businesses and our city,” said Dave Angus, Chamber president and CEO.
