The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are bringing back one of their veterans for the 2011 CFL season.
Offensive lineman Obby Khan was re-signed to the football club on Wednesday after widespread speculation that he may not return. Khan became a free agent on February 16.
“We are very glad we were able to re-sign a veteran like Obby,” said Vice President and General Manager Joe Mack. “He is a Canadian player with experience which is very important in order to be successful in this league.”
“Winnipeg is home for me so I’m very glad we were able to work this out so that I can stay a Blue Bomber,” Khan said in a release. “I believe in the direction the club is going in and look forward to training camp opening up in June.”
