Olympian Susan Auch won the nomination Thursday night to represent the Manitoba Progressive Conservative Party during the upcoming provincial fall election.
Auch’s nomination in the constituency of Assiniboia will see her run against incumbent and NDPer Jim Rondeau.
“It will be a challenging campaign, but I have always thrived on challenges, and I can’t wait to get going,” Auch said in a release.
The real estate agent who resides in Calgary announced her intentions to run on February 4.
The provincial Tories now have 30 nominated candidates for the October 4 election.
